How to Train Your Bird to Wear A Harness

A pet bird is a very fragile animal, and good care of it is very important. Most parrots are not accustomed to wearing anything like a harness. So, it’s very important to get them comfortable to the material, not be scared of it. Just being able to even show them the material without them getting scared is already a big step forward.

Training a bird is not an easy job but you will have a lot of fun once they are used to it. Before taking them outside, make sure you could handle them properly.

Make sure to get a good harness. Some extra bucks can give you a big relief. Good quality and good color is very important thing in the training of a bird. Color of a harness should not be too unfamiliar to a bird so it can create problem to adopt it quickly.

Are bird harnesses safe?

Yes, it is, but it’s all depends on the training of a pet. If your pet is well trained and feels comfortable having a harness, so you shouldn’t worry about that.

Make sure your harness shouldn’t be too close to a body of a bird, there should be a room for least one finger.
